19TH C. FIJIAN SALI CLUB W/ GEOMETRIC DECORATION

Description:  This excellent example is presented on a custom metal stand and is special for a number of reasons.  It has good color and its shape is strong yet elegant.  Its striking spur is long, intact and in excellent condition.  At the base of the spur are two attractive raised chevrons which add to its splendor and design!  Its head features bold geometric carving having 4 horizontal bands which delineate two fields of circles and one region of geometric carving at the neck.  It has a high raised ridge on top with no damage.  It has a semi-encrusted and blistered patina in areas.  It appears to have some very old applied varnish.  In fine condition.
